MaternaLink
A student-led nonprofit advocating for safer, more equitable maternal care worldwide.
Why It Matters
Most are preventable with timely, informed care.
The burden falls hardest on low- and lower-middle-income countries.
Access to informed prenatal and birth care saves lives.
What We Do
Translate Research
We turn maternal health research into student-friendly summaries and visual explainers that are easy to share.
Raise Awareness
We create materials for schools and communities about prenatal care gaps in low-resource settings.
Support Student Advocacy
We help students learn about global maternal health and start conversations in their communities.
Current Focus
MaternaLink grew out of firsthand research exposure to maternal health challenges in African low-resource settings—working with a public health group focused on improving maternal care access. We focus on education and advocacy across the full picture of maternal health: prenatal care, birth outcomes, access to skilled care, and the underlying inequities that put lives at risk.
Our goal is to make information about maternal health gaps accessible to students, communities, and anyone who wants to understand why these challenges persist—and what can be done.
